During MWC 2025 in Barcelona, Huawei has introduced the HUAWEI Mate XT | ULTIMATE DESIGN, the world’s first commercial trifold smartphone, setting new industry standards in foldable technology.
The device, officially released for the global market in February 18th (five months after it’s first release in China, back in September 2024), features a 10.2-inch unfolded display, making it the largest foldable smartphone screen while maintaining an ultra-thin 3.6 mm profile.
The Mate XT’s Advanced Precision Hinge System and 322 cm ultra-thin glass (UTG) panel enable seamless inward and outward folding, a first in the industry. This innovation enhances durability and usability, transforming the smartphone into a versatile multiscreen device. Users can enjoy a split-screen experience, seamless multitasking, and an immersive viewing experience in both horizontal and vertical orientations.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Ultra Aperture XMAGE Camera, featuring a 10-size Adjustable Physical Aperture for enhanced control over depth and lighting. This allows for professional-quality photography, ensuring sharper, high-detail images in various lighting conditions.
Huawei’s latest innovation positions the Mate XT as more than just a smartphone—it serves as a next-generation productivity and entertainment tool. Whether for business, creativity, or immersive media consumption, the trifold design maximizes screen real estate without compromising portability.
